TIPS FOR MAKING A GREAT SMOOTHIE
- Use frozen fruit for your smoothies. Frozen fruit gives you the perfect smoothie texture without having to use ice. Ice can sometimes water down your smoothie. So whenever you have the opportunity, always opt for frozen fruit.
- Wash your fruit really well. If you are using fresh fruit make sure to wash your fruit and produce really well before adding to your blender, especially if you plan to leave the skin on your fruit. Most of the time I buy organic fruit, leave the skin on my peaches and apples and just wash them well before using them in my smoothies.
- Sweeteners. Try to stay away from adding regular sugar to your smoothie. Use natural sweeteners instead like honey, maple syrup or dates.
