Trust me...it’s definitely a keeper!
And if you’re a big fan of smoked sausage recipes, because let's face it, it's one of the easiest ways to make dinner - then try out this 20-minute Chicken Sausage Stir-Fry recipe next!

Here’s What You Need
Just 4 main ingredients and a good seasoning mix is all you really need to make this sausage and peppers recipe:
- Smoked Sausage: You’ll need 12-14 oz. of fully cooked smoked sausage. Just use your favorite type of smoked sausage: andouille, beef sausage, turkey, or chicken sausage.
- Bell Peppers, Onions, and Garlic: I love the combination of sautéed peppers, onion and garlic. It adds so much flavor and aromatics to the recipe. I always use two different colors of bell peppers, one yellow onion, and fresh garlic cloves.
- Spices: A simple spice mix plus a little Worcestershire sauce tops everything off!

Extra Tip!
Sometimes I like adding just a tiny bit of beef broth to the skillet if I want it to be a a little saucy, about ¼ cup. It's definitely not necessary and it also causes the peppers to get a little mushy. But it's seriously good both ways!😉

Your recipe looks delicious. With the bell pepper, it's also a great source of vitamin C and fiber. Thanks for reminding me of cooked chicken apple sausage as a convenient ingredient. I'll buy the ingredients for this tomorrow, and make it later this week. I appreciate your blog. You often have recipes that pique my interest, and that are not overly elaborate. I enjoy simple ingredients well prepared. Thank you.
