Start by slicing the smoked sausage into ¼ inch rounds, slice both bell peppers into strips and cut the onion into half moon slices. Mince the garlic cloves.
Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of cooking oil. Add the sliced smoked sausage to the skillet and sauté for about 4 minutes until browned on both sides. Transfer the browned sausage to a separate plate and set aside.
Add the remaining cooking oil to the skillet, then add in the sliced bell peppers and onion. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until tender but still slightly crisp. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for an additional 30 seconds.
Now add the browned sausage back to the skillet along with the salt, oregano, garlic powder, black pepper, and worcestershire sauce. Stir everything together and sauté for another 2 minutes. Enjoy with rice, pasta, or on a hoagie roll!
Notes
If you want this recipe to be a tad bit saucy add ¼ cup beef broth during the last step at the same time as the spices and Worcestershire sauce.
