Measure your rice and rinse in a fine mesh strainer under cool water for 30-60 seconds or until water runs clear.
Add rice to the instant pot insert along with water and salt. Give it a gentle stir and make sure all of the rice is submerged under the water.
Close the instant pot lid, turn the pressure valve to sealing and pressure cook using either High pressure for 4 minutes or the “Rice Setting'' which is Low pressure for 12 minutes.
Once the initial pressure cooking time has ended, allow the instant pot to do a natural pressure release for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, quick release any remaining pressure, carefully remove the top and fluff the rice with a fork. Enjoy with your favorite meal!
Notes
Water can be substituted with chicken broth for more flavor.
The automatic rice setting on the Instant Pot can only be used for white rice.
Cook time includes time for Instant Pot to reach full pressure which is approximately 8-10 minutes.
