Ingredients

Stir Fry Sauce

  • 3 Tablespoons sweet red chili sauce
  • 3 Tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger

Ground Turkey Stir Fry

  • 4 green onions
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 Tablespoon cooking oil
  • 1 lb. ground turkey (85/93% lean)
  • 2 cups frozen cut green beans
  • 2 Tablespoons water (optional)

Instructions

  • Start by prepping the sauce. In a small bowl combine the sweet red chili sauce, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, toasted sesame oil, and grated ginger. Mix together well and set the bowl to the side.
  • Slice the green onions and separate the white and light green ends from the dark green ends. Mince the garlic cloves.
  • Heat the cooking oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground turkey, crumble, and cook until the turkey is cooked through and fully brown.
  • Now add the minced garlic, the sliced white and light green onion (about 3 tablespoons) and the frozen green beans. Stir to mix with the ground turkey and sauté for 3-4 minutes until the green beans have thawed.* If your skillet gets too dry add a splash of water, about 1-2 tablespoons.
  • Give the stir-fry sauce another stir, then pour the sauce over the turkey and green beans. Stir everything together and cook for another 2 minutes over medium-low heat. Serve hot with rice and the remaining sliced green onions.

Notes

  1. If you have a steamable bag of frozen green beans, you can steam them first in the microwave before adding them to the skillet to save time!
