Easy 20-Minute Recipe!
Quick dinner recipes that only take minutes to cook are a lifesaver for me during the week like this 20-Minute Chicken Sausage Stir-Fry and my favorite Honey Garlic Chicken. A simple stir-fry sauce plus 4 ingredients is all you need for this recipe! And of course you can easily switch out the ground turkey for ground beef or ground chicken. And if you’re not a fan of green beans, swap them out for another vegetable like chopped broccoli or baby spinach.😉
Ingredients Needed
- Ground Turkey: One pound of 85% or 93% lean ground turkey is what I use. I usually stay away from turkey breast that's 99% lean. It just doesn’t have enough fat and the taste is slightly different.
- Green Beans: Frozen green beans helps make this recipe super fast and adds an extra layer of texture and nutrients to the dish. Plus I always seem to have a pack of frozen veggies in the freezer.
- Green Onions and Garlic: Green onions and fresh garlic add extra flavor to this dish.
- Stir Fry Sauce: The sauce is what really makes this recipe come together. It includes a combination of sweet red chili sauce, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, toasted sesame oil and fresh grated ginger. It's so good!!

How To Make Ground Turkey Stir Fry
Start by prepping the sauce. In a small bowl combine the stir fry sauce ingredients, mix everything together well, then set the bowl aside. Go ahead and slice the green onions and mince the garlic cloves. Also take this time to separate the dark ends of the green onion from the white ends.

Step One: Heat a large skillet over medium heat and cook the ground turkey until it is cooked through and fully brown.

Step Two: Add the minced garlic, the sliced white and light green onion (about 3 tablespoons) and the frozen green beans. Stir to mix with the ground turkey and sauté for a few minutes just until the green beans have thawed. If your skillet gets too dry add a splash of water.

Step Three: Next give the stir-fry sauce another stir, then pour the sauce over the turkey and green beans. Stir everything together and cook for another 2 minutes over medium-low heat.

Step Four: And that's it! Serve hot with white rice and the remaining sliced green onions. Enjoy!
Time Saving Tip!
If you have a steamable bag of frozen green beans, you can steam them first in the microwave before adding them to the skillet to save time!

Serve with jasmine white rice and fresh green onions on top!

I just prepared this recipe it was absolutely delicious! I substituted the green beans with frozen mixed vegetables. I didn’t have grated ginger so I used powdered ginger. The dish was good and suited to my tastes. Thank you for sharing your recipe. I recommend it to anyone that likes an Asian twist and enjoys making a not so difficult recipe.

Yum! My kids and I all loved it. We topped it with dry roasted peanuts for crunch. Everyone went back for seconds, a rarity for one of my children. We will make this again soon!
