Preheat the oven to 425°F. Wash the potatoes well then cut them in half lengthwise. Score the cut sides of the potato using a tic-tac-toe design or something similar. *see picture above. Set potatoes aside.
Melt the butter in a small bowl in the microwave or on the stovetop. Now add the Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper to the melted butter. Stir to combine.
Pour the melted butter mixture in the bottom of a 9x13 baking dish and spread it around evenly. Now sprinkle the parmesan cheese on top of the butter as evenly as possible.
Next add the potatoes to the baking dish cut side down. Gently press each potato into the butter and cheese mixture. Brush a little extra butter on top of each potato (I just use whatever is leftover from the bowl that I melted the butter in).
Bake the potatoes in the oven for 30-35 minutes or until the potatoes have a crispy golden brown crust. I like to go the full 35 minutes. Serve while they are warm and enjoy!
