Wash, dry, and place the asparagus on a cutting board. Trim off the thick woody stem at the end of the asparagus spears.
Keep the asparagus on the cutting board or add them to a large bowl. Drizzle the olive oil over the asparagus and rub the oil into the spears. Now sprinkle the lemon pepper seasoning over the asparagus and toss until all the asparagus is coated with the seasoning mix.
Preheat the air fryer to 400°F. Add the seasoned asparagus to the air fryer basket in an even layer (as evenly as you can). Cook for 4 minutes, stopping and shaking halfway through.*
Remove the asparagus from the air fryer and enjoy with your favorite meal.
Notes
Lemon pepper seasoning already has lots of spices in it including salt. But depending on the brand of seasoning that you use, you may need to add just a small pinch more of salt and garlic powder. I used Lawry's Lemon Pepper Seasoning and it's packed with flavor.
If your asparagus spears & stems are really thick, you may need to add 1 additional minute to the cook time.
