Measure your rice and rinse in a fine mesh strainer under cool water for 30-60 seconds or until water runs clear.
Add the rice to the instant pot along with the water or broth and salt. Stir and make sure all of the rice is submerged under the liquid.
Close the instant pot lid, turn the pressure valve to sealing and pressure cook on high pressure for 24 minutes**
Once the 24 minutes has ended, allow the instant pot to do a natural pressure release for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, quick release any remaining pressure, carefully remove the lid and fluff the rice with a fork. Enjoy with your favorite meal!
Notes
*This method also works with regular long-grain brown rice.**Please note - the automatic “rice setting” on the Instant Pot can ONLY be used for white rice.
