Instant Pot Brown Jasmine Rice

This Instant Pot Brown Jasmine Rice is easy to make and goes perfectly as a side dish with your favorite stir-frys or dinner recipes.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups brown jasmine rice*
  • 2 cups water or broth
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt optional

Instructions
 

  • Measure your rice and rinse in a fine mesh strainer under cool water for 30-60 seconds or until water runs clear.
  • Add the rice to the instant pot along with the water or broth and salt. Stir and make sure all of the rice is submerged under the liquid.
  • Close the instant pot lid, turn the pressure valve to sealing and pressure cook on high pressure for 24 minutes**
  • Once the 24 minutes has ended, allow the instant pot to do a natural pressure release for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, quick release any remaining pressure, carefully remove the lid and fluff the rice with a fork. Enjoy with your favorite meal!

Notes

*This method also works with regular long-grain brown rice.
**Please note - the automatic “rice setting” on the Instant Pot can ONLY be used for white rice.
