Instant Pot Applesauce

Instant Pot Applesauce

Delicious homemade applesauce with a hint of cinnamon made quickly and easily in the Instant Pot.
Prep Time 8 minutes
Cook Time 17 minutes
Total Time 25 minutes
Servings 6 servings

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs. organic apples (about 6 medium size apples)
  • ¾ cup purified water
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon*

Instructions

  • Wash, peel and chop your apples. Remove the center core and seeds.
  • Add apples to the instant pot along with water and cinnamon.
  • Place the lid on top and turn the pressure valve to sealing. Pressure cook on high for 7 min. Allow the Instant Pot to do a natural pressure release for 10 minutes, then do a quick release to release the rest of the pressure.
  • Carefully remove the lid. Strain your apples with a slotted spoon and add to your blender. Blend on low until smooth or pulse just a few times if you prefer a chunky applesauce. You can control the consistency. Enjoy!

Notes

  1. Adjust the cinnamon to your liking.
  2. Cook time does not include time for Instant Pot to reach pressure.
  3. If you want to make a little more applesauce just add more apples and adjust the ground cinnamon to your liking.
  4. If you want your applesauce to be thicker, just mash with a potato masher or pulse in the blender 3-4 times versus fully blending.
  5. Storage tips listed above.
