Melt the butter in a small dish in your microwave. Set aside.
Thoroughly wash your pears and cut them in half lengthwise. Scoop out all of the seeds with a spoon.
Next cut a small piece of the pear off the sides of the pear, so each pear can lay flat in the baking dish. Place the pears flesh side up inside a baking dish.
In a small bowl mix together the brown sugar, cinnamon, melted butter and chopped pecans.
Top each pear with a little bit of the sugar mixture.
Bake the pears in the oven for 30 minutes until all of the sugar is melted and the pears are golden brown. Enjoy by themselves or with some vanilla ice cream!

Store any leftovers in an airtight container for 2-3 days in the refrigerator.
