HOW TO MAKE AN APPLE FALL HARVEST SALAD

Full instructions and measurements are included in the recipe card below, but hereโ€™s a quick overview:

Step One: Make the homemade vinaigrette dressing and set aside. Wash the apples and slice or chop according to desired thickness. I prefer thin slices in this salad recipe.

Step Two: Add 2 handfuls of mixed salad greens to a bowl. Top with sliced apples, chopped walnuts, dried cranberries and salad dressing. That's it!

Feel free to add more toppings including some feta cheese or some grilled chicken breast to make it a meal.

HOMEMADE VINAIGRETTE DRESSING

As Iโ€™ve gotten older Iโ€™ve really started to gravitate more towards vinegar & oil based dressings versus dairy based dressings.

This simple vinaigrette includes extra virgin olive oil, apple cider vinegar, maple syrup, dijon mustard, a little fresh lemon juice, salt & pepper. Mix everything up in a small bowl or to make it easy just shake and store in these small half pint mason jars.
